Why engaging with other bloggers is best

So today was my first "official" day blogging...

I spent a good couple of hours just on social media reading other blogs and engaging with followers. It was quite the eye opener and I even learned something new! (Always great!)

The main thing I noticed is that other bloggers are extremely supportive! That is either by, promoting your content by either liking commenting or sharing,

If you are new to this (like me), I would recommend doing this too!

So below I've put together some great tips on why engaging with other blogs will help your grow!

1. Follow other bloggers on social media!

From my point of view, this is probably the easiest thing you can do.

Why?

Because it is so easy! Most bloggers will return the favour! They have been in your position and understand it is hard to grow at first no matter how exciting and great your content is!

2. Read their blogs

People read blogs to learn something new. By far, the most common reason that people will read a blog is to learn something new!

3. Speak to them! Like, comment, share

This is probably the most important step. If you do not support and contribute to the community what makes you think they will support you?

It is so easy, the more you engage with your followers the more likely they will promote your content. Simple.

4. Ask them to read yours!

There is no harm in asking people to return the favour. In some cases people just forget (I am guilty of this at times!)

What I've noticed, especially with other bloggers is that they are always happy to help and support you!

5. Be consistent!

Don't just do this once and then expect your followers to carry on with this! Spend time engaging with your following at least once a day and make sure to make time for everyone!

  1. Great to hear you’ve had great experiences in your first few days blogging! Interaction is so important, especially if it’s genuine. I personally struggle interacting with posts I’m not interested in- which can make following the rules of some sharing threads difficult. I don’t see the point in leaving one sentence comments- and it can harm your site’s reputation! All the best with your new blog,
